A single barrel selection from the set of barrels that made up our inaugural batch of gold medal winning Cask Strength Rye Whiskey. This was the cream-of-the-crop of California’s first gold medal winning whiskey at the American Distilling Institute’s National Judging of Craft Spirits. This barrel was purchased by a private party, but we were left with one short case that couldn’t be shipped. We are keeping a couple of samples and making a few bottles available to a few lucky buyers.

This cask strength straight rye whiskey clocks in at 112 proof and was aged for just under 3 years in a 30 gallon new charred American oak cask. It stood out from the others for its remarkable smoothness and sweet vanilla finish.
